General guidance from our Rhode Island Department of Health:
Anyone who thinks they might have COVID-19 should call their healthcare provider. These people should not go directly to a healthcare facility without first calling a healthcare provider (unless they are experiencing a medical emergency).
Everyone needs to do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
- Stay home from work if you are sick.
- Wash your hands often.
- Use warm water and soap or alcohol-based gel.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Whenever possible, avoid close personal contact in public.
The Rhode Island Department of Health has launched a 24-hour hotline for anyone with questions about the Coronavirus (401-222-8022). Residents can also call 211 after 4:30 p.m. for assistance.
