VFW 152 July Dispatch
Greetings friends of VFW Post 152. Quick update of what your VFW Post has been up too and things we are looking forward too. If you have any question please feel free to contact the Post Commander at CMD@VFW152.org
What a great June our post had. First congratulations to our very own Matt McCoy who was awarded the veteran of the year for the State of Rhode Island for his hard work and dedication with the WWI commission. Truly an incredible honor and very well deserved. We gave out over 30 helmets at our Bike Safety Event despite the clouds and rain. To close out the month, we had a great time at the cookout we hosted for the families of the deployed soldiers from 1/126 AVN. The families are doing an ice cream fundraiser on Thursday, July 19th if you can go to a
Sundeas Ice Cream
to help out it would be appreciated. One last thing we were able to give a local veteran more freedom by giving him a mobile scooter we refurbished for him. All and all a great month taking care of RI Veterans and their families.
